So what is it about these lamps that we like them so much?

Eangee's lamps are created with real fossilized leaf lampshades finished in a variety of colors. They are both a lamp and natural work of art, sure to start conversations. Available in a variety of shape, sizes and colors, they are a  perfect accent to any home or office decor.

But there is more to these lamps that make them unique. These lamps are a fair trade and sustainable product made in the Philippines produced in safe and healthy working conditions, where the artisans receive a fair price and also have a voice in how their workplace is run.

These lamps are produced in ways that support sustainable practices that minimize our environmental footprint. Artisans start with a wrought iron frame that is powder coated to insure a durable long-lasting color and finish. They then create a work of art from the shade. Using fossilized, sustainably harvested leaves, organic dyes are applied that uniquely and naturally stain the leaf.

Paying close attention to detail, these high-quality lamps feature a brilliantly intricate layering of leaf, a work of art in both light and shadow. The various layers create harmonious shading and shadows that lead to the signature patterns. The artisans producing these lamps take pride in their work. Artisans adhere the stained leaves to a heat resistant backing and use a strong sealant to ensure the beauty, stability and integrity of the shade.

Fair Trade products are unique to the places they come from and the people who make them. Farmers and artisans are involved in the entire process, and Fair Trade products reflect the people and cultures they come from.

We also like that fair trade means sustainable local economies. These lamps  give the artisans control of their own future. They are working in their own community and the profits of their labor stay in their community and go back into their businesses.

By choosing these Fair Trade lamps, you are not only accessing a high quality product, you are making a difference in the lives of the people produced these lamps for your home.
